Shortly after the tragedy, the worldwas polarized and fragmented dramatically. This polarization was triggered by President Bush%u2019sspeech, when declaring war on terrorism, in whichhe stated to all nations: %u201cYou%u2019re either with us or against us%u201d. This statement then created a new global geopolitical andeconomic paradigm on the basis of being an adversary or anally. This black-and-white dichotomy, enemy or ally, representeda new predicament for international order.2
