It dependson the character and temperament of the community with itsethnical and cultural background, and the social, political andeconomic condition. Even the interpretation of religious doctrine%u2014which is convinced as transcendent and universal%u2014 will alsoinfluence the social and political behavior of respective religiouscommunities.From various empirical studies on the relation betweenreligion and politics, I assume that the impact of religion towardsthe social - political behavior to it%u2019s community is not merely%u201cpure%u201d religious doctrine as stated in the holy scriptures of therespective religions. In fact, it is a result of the process oftransformation of the doctrine into the political ideology. Thetransformation is influence by the background of the adheredcommunity, political, social and economic condition. From thisempirical studies, categorically we could divide the result oftransformation process into three significant groups which wecan describe as the %u201cmodernist%u201d, the %u201cfundamentalist%u201d, andthe %u201ctraditionalist%u201d.The modernist group is moderate, open and tolerant, andsees the religions doctrine not only in the believe to God, butalso contains moral norms which aims to create a good humanand devote to collective needs. For them, the world is always pluraland that is the reason why the modernist are open, tolerant, andstruggle to reach their aims with peace. Sociologically, the modernistappear because of their adaptation with various cultures thatsupport the society towards development.While the fundamentalist tend to be hard and closed, andsee the world from the %u201cblack%u201d and %u201cwhite%u201d sides.
